Our Story
The Wilson Area Business Association (WABA) is a registered 501-C6 not for profit organization, registered with the IRS in April of 2024.
WABA was created by a group of local business owners, town and village representatives as a part of a greater initiative to promote growth of the Wilson, NY community.
The purpose of the WABA is to promote business within and around the Wilson community in order to cultivate the growth and success of existing and emerging businesses by increasing networking opportunities, exploring and implementing creative ways to increase revenue for local business, and fostering a positive partnership of businesses interested in promoting Wilson and the betterment of the Wilson community.
Meet the Board
The WABA board of directors consists of a dynamic group of local business owners as well as town and village representatives, who are all involved in a variety of boards, committees and organizations invested in the Wilson community.

President
Jessica Whitley
Jessica, a resident of nearby Burt, NY, has been invested in the success of the Wilson Area Business Association since it's inception, starting as a member of it's organizational committee in 2023. Jessica is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has a small private practice located in Newfane, NY, providing mental health counseling services for the surrounding area. She is the current vice commodore of Island Yacht Club and has served on it's board of directors since 2021.
"Wilson has a special place in my heart. My grandparents were born and raised in Wilson and I've spent a lot of time here in my childhood and throughout my adult life. I am excited for the opportunity to be a part of the continued growth of this beautiful community."

Vice President
Erminia Anne Basile
Having lived in Niagara County throughout her life, the town of Wilson has been Anne's residence for over 10 years. Her professional career, which spans multiple decades, is primarily focused on human services, business and volunteering. Over three decades ago Anne founded Mirage Tours, which evolved from a family -run business offering day trips to a customized wholesale tour company providing receptive services to incoming tour groups. The company's philosophy emphasizes incorporating constant change into tour programs to cater to the diverse needs of modern travelers. Consequently, the company has crafted tour experiences that showcase scenery, heritage, culture and fun. Having possessed a long history of community service to the town of Wilson, Anne is a current member of the Wilson Town Council for the past five years, working towards the betterment of the community. Volunteering is paramount! Anne is an active member of the Lions Club of Wilson since 2018, serving in various capacities, including President for two years. Anne's dedication to the community is exemplified in nearly decade -long commitment to the Town of Wilson. Caring is Sharing!

Secretary
Gregory Martin
Greg Martin has proudly called Wilson home for 13 years, dedicating the last six to community volunteerism and leadership. With experience on both the Planning Board and Village Board, Greg has actively contributed to Wilson’s growth and development. He played a pivotal role in revitalizing the local business association and launching the Leon Festival, a celebration that brings the community together on Father’s Day Weekend. Most recently, Greg helped create the 14172 & You calendar of events, an initiative designed to keep residents informed and connected about the community events. Greg’s unwavering commitment reflects his passion for fostering a vibrant and unified Wilson.

Treasurer
Eileen Neisen
Eileen is owner and operator of community favorite Brownies Custard Stand. In 2024 Brownies Custard Stand opened a second location at the Lakeview Village Shoppes in neighboring Olcott. Eileen has been integral in proving a space for the town's weekly cruise night, and as of 2024 Tuesday Farmer's Market. Eileen facilitates letters to Santa each year and serves as an important community member helping out other local businesses.
